Spares Holding and Management

With almost 20 years’ experience managing spares holding across a wide geography, Comms-care has developed refined processes for efficient technical spare parts logistics.

Our service includes:

- Management of a wide range of spares for resellers and vendors; services include managing hardware replacements using reseller-owned equipment and uplifting vendor warranty services
- 17 Forward Sparing Locations (FSL) across the UK to stage spares close to end user sites
- Ongoing stock management processes to review spares holding requirements based on contractual commitments

Staging and Pre-configuration

We provide a range of configuration services from our centrally located, purpose-built facility in Crick, Northamptonshire.

Our team of skilled and experienced engineers offers a variety of services, covering everything from the application of straightforward customer provided configurations through to complete design and testing for ‘greenfield’ installations.

Our dedicated facility can handle projects of any size and scale and with a high security, temperature-controlled environment and protection against Electro-Static Discharge you can be sure that the goods are protected at all times.

- Asset tagging & management

Repairs

Comms-care offers a comprehensive Repairs service, where devices or systems pass through a five stage process:

- Receipt – The device or system is received within our goods-in department and given a unique identification code for tracking.

- Secure Wipe – Comms-care is ISO 27001 certified and the repairs centre has controlled access. Secure wipes can be completed based on the fault, device and customer’s security requirements.

- Assessment & Quoting – A technical assessment is conducted to provide a root cause for the fault. This information is used to provide a quote detailing the time and components required to repair the device.

- Repair & Recertification – The certified repair technicians will carry out the repair which may include replacement of parts.

- Testing – Once the repair is complete, the device will undergo soak testing to verify that the repair has been successful and is shipped back to the customer.
